Christina E. Kramer is a professor emerita of Slavic languages and linguistics at the University of Toronto. She has always combined her love for languages, linguistics, and literature. She is the author of many articles on Balkan linguistics and a Macedonian grammar. Her translations from Macedonian have been awarded prizes, including support from the National Endowment for the Arts, Pen Translates, UK, Lois Roth Honorary Mention, and long-listed for Best translation of the year (USA). Her translations also appear in numerous journals including Asymptote, Brooklyn Rail, Chicago Review,Two Lines, M-Dash, The Punch Magazine, Tin House, Words without Borders, World Literature Today.
